But a Pokémon Center isn't just about healing and supplies. There's plenty to explore! You can look through the shelves of souvenirs, chat with other Trainers regarding their Pokémon, or even join in a friendly battle within the Center's designated area.

They've been portals to another world/dimension/reality filled with legendary creatures, epic battles, and of course, the thrill of the quest for that rare gem/treasure/find.
